Generali Hong Kong has partnered with global insurtech platform CoverGo to roll out a new AI-powered solution aimed at transforming health claims processing.

The deployment introduces an Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) AI Agent designed to automate the handling of complex insurance claims, significantly reducing processing times while improving data accuracy and enhancing the overall customer experience.

Health insurance claims processing has traditionally been a manual and time-consuming process, involving large volumes of unstructured documents such as claim forms, medical reports, invoices, and receipts.

CoverGo’s AI agent addresses this challenge by automatically ingesting and analysing these documents, converting them into structured, decision-ready data in real time.

By embedding artificial intelligence directly into the claims workflow, the system can extract critical information and accurately map complex medical classification systems, including ICD and benefit codes, alongside supporting claim data.
