XBTO Secures $217M Funding, Partners with ValueLabs to Expand Institutional Crypto Platform

XBTO has secured commitments for a $217 million capital raise, positioning the firm to accelerate the expansion of its institutional digital asset infrastructure.

The funding comes alongside a strategic partnership with ValueLabs, which will take a minority stake in XBTO Global Limited. The collaboration is expected to strengthen XBTO’s technology capabilities and support its long-term growth in institutional crypto services.

Institutional Demand Driving Growth

The investment reflects a broader shift in the digital asset market, where institutional players such as sovereign wealth funds, insurers and private banks are moving beyond experimentation toward structured, mandate-driven exposure.

XBTO said demand is increasingly centered on providers that combine strong balance sheets with regulatory compliance. The firm operates under oversight from the Bermuda Monetary Authority and the Financial Services Regulatory Authority in Abu Dhabi Global Market.

Focus on Technology, Funds and Credit Solutions

XBTO plans to deploy the new capital across three key areas. The company will scale its client-facing platform into a “one-stop” solution for institutions and high-net-worth clients, including enhanced custody and execution services.

It also intends to launch new hedge funds and structured investment products spanning directional, market-neutral and yield strategies, aimed at delivering performance across different market conditions.

In addition, XBTO is developing secured credit solutions for digital asset holders, offering Lombard-style lending with institutional-grade collateral management and risk controls.

Agentic AI to Power Next Phase

The partnership with ValueLabs will introduce advanced engineering and agentic AI capabilities into XBTO’s platform. ValueLabs will contribute its proprietary AiDE system, designed to support enterprise automation and intelligent workflows.

XBTO said the integration will help bridge traditional finance and digital assets, enabling faster innovation and more scalable infrastructure for institutional clients.

Building Institutional-Grade Digital Finance

XBTO founder and CEO Philippe Bekhazi said the company aims to deliver the same level of sophistication found in traditional finance to digital asset markets.

ValueLabs chairman Arjun Rao added that combining AI-driven automation with regulatory discipline is critical to building a resilient digital finance ecosystem.

The funding and partnership signal continued momentum in the institutionalisation of digital assets, as firms invest heavily in infrastructure, compliance and technology to support large-scale adoption.
